Pocket rockets

I wish they were laminated to survive the little fingers. Children enjoyed the stories.

Julia W.

Great to have the next phase for the children to continue their learning journey.

phase 3 pocket rockets

Kids love the characters reappearing in books, especially Pat the dog, Min the cat, and Sad Dad. The text is decodable and sequential and the pictures add a lot of information about the story enriching the restricted text. The kids know they are reading..sounding out and blending sounds to create words. They reread the stories often but discussing the pictures and enriching the stories simple words has encouraged this.
The Pocket Rockets are very small and the paper is shiny... this has made them difficult to use as an instructional text....

ELaine S.

We love the Pocket Rockets series. We use them to practise reading words with new letter patterns introduced during systematic, synthetic phonic lessons. Our Pocket Rocket books are used as take home reading books that students can read independently to parents.
